The increasing role played by the media, its influence and impact on the society and the changes taking place in its functioning with the advent of technology will form part of NCERT textbooks from next year.
The new chapter — Mass Media and Communication — included in the Social and Political Life textbook for Class VII students will analyse how media is setting agenda and how market has become central to its functioning.
